ABOUT THE PROJECT
Development of Innovative Social Services - Integrative Counseling and Support Center is a project launched with an aim of expanding the network of non-institutional social services for children with disabilities and their families.
Project is endorsed within the Call for Improvement of Existing and Expansion of Non-Institutional Care Services in Selected Urban Agglomerations/area of Osijek, Pula, Rijeka, Slavonski Brod, Split, Zadar i Zagreb published by the Ministry of Labor, Pensions, Family and Social Policy (UP.02.2.2.15) under Priority Axis 2: Social inclusion, Investment, Priority 9 Improving access to affordable, sustainable and high quality services, including health care and social services of general interest, or Specific Objective 9.iv.2 Improving access to high quality social services, including support for the deinstitutionalization process, of the Operational Program “Effective Human Resources 2014 – 2020”.
Specific objectives:
- Providing support to the deinstitutionalisation process and raising public awareness of the Osijek Urban Agglomeration on providing support to children with disabilities and their families
- Improving the quality and expansion of non-institutional social services for children with disabilities and members of their families in the area of the Urban Agglomeration of Osijek.

Our wish is to create services that will provide support to the whole family of a child with disabilities, through the involvement of parents in training and the parallel provision of psychosocial support to all its members. To this end, the project has developed collaborations with Abbot’s Lea School (Liverpool, UK) and the STAR Institute (Denver, Colorado, USA).
